Smoked Sausage Reuben

Ingredients
- 1 Farmland® GM Smoked Sausage Link 4/1*
- Thousand Island dressing
- 1 hoagie sandwich roll, sliced in half lengthwise
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup sweet sauerkraut with caraway seed, very well drained
Preparation
- Heat charbroiler to medium. Slice sausage link in half lengthwise, leaving attached. Grill sausage until internal temperature reaches 160°, turning once.
- Meanwhile, spread Thousand Island dressing onto cut surfaces of hoagie roll. Place 1 cheese slice on bottom half of roll; top with ¼ cup sauerkraut.
- Lay sausage on top of sauerkraut; top with second slice of cheese. Close sandwich roll.
- Brush outside of sandwich lightly with olive oil. Grill until roll is toasted and cheese begins to melt, mashing lightly with spatula and flipping after first side browns.
